Neil Sivwright

A learning and development professional specialising in workplace training management and enhancing employee capability.
For over 20 years Neil has been helping organisation plan, design, develop and implement workplace training and development systems and programs. Experienced in the key facets of training management, including; policy and procedure development, needs analysis, instructional design and organisational implementation of complete training systems, through to the targeted and personalised development coaching of individuals.
Previous to establishing TrainAbility in 2011, Neil was Learning and Development Manager, Asia Pacific Region for Newmont Mining Corporation. Neil holds professional qualifications in Training & Assessment, Mining, Business and Project Management.
Recent achievements include:
- Planning, design and implementation of the training function at new major gold project for global organisation
- Training management system audits at several major gold, copper and iron ore projects located in Australia, Indonesian and West Africa
- Development of resources & infrastructure industry training programs for organisations located in Australia, Indonesia, New Zealand, Papua New Guinea, Turkey and West Africa
- Mapping training and assessment programs to national competency standards
- Organisational and individual training needs analysis
- Peer review of an international training group
- 1 on 1 coaching and workplace capability development of professionals within private sector and government agencies
